What is Frase.io?
Frase.io is a content optimization and AI chatbot software. Frase provides an intelligent outline for every topic and question in what it calls a content brief. Not only does Frase take the friction out of the content creation process, but it also optimizes the blogger’s time by providing updated information in an easy-to-access format.
As a blogger, you tend to look for reliable sources to gather information and make content for your blogging business while ranking on the search engines. Blogging businesses thrive when they regularly communicate with their audience by offering tips, answering questions, or providing solutions.
Content creation is at an all-time high. In 2021, there are countless blogs and content mediums available to us, more than ever before. With vast amounts of content competing for attention, it can be tricky to establish yourself as a blogger.
Standing out as a blogging business is challenging without the correct guidance and well-thought-out strategies to reach people in your niche. Hence, content creation is one of the most outsourced services for companies trying to reach their target audience. However, outsourced services do not always understand the importance of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or current topics and the leverage that a company has.
Instead of outsourcing your content creation, you might consider making your content. That’s easier said than done. As you get started, some of the terms you will come across are SEO keywords, bounce rate, time-on-site, and page per session. These are all data points that boost your ranking, but it is a lot of new knowledge to learn for a beginner blogger.
To manually create SEO optimized content, the program I recommend is Frase.io. Frase helps you optimize your content. With Frase, it is more straightforward to get well-ranking web pages, minus the headache of trying to do it all on your own.
Frase can put all of those worries about SEO specifics to rest by offering instant SEO insights with topic scores, questions, headers, overviews, links, and stats to improve your knowledge and ranking.
In this post, I will focus on the content optimization features of Frase.io. Let’s start by looking at how to create a content brief.
Content Research & Creation: Content Brief 101
A content brief is essentially a document containing all the information you need to create an informed outline effectively. Frase’s content briefs are the perfect way to get started with a blog.
To start, create a new document and choose “Content Brief” for the document type. Then, input your search query.

After you add your topic, title, or questions to the search box, Frase will produce a content brief that outlines questions, headlines, and keywords.

CAPTION: The “People Also Ask” section is a must as it gives you content ideas, not just for this post but also future blog posts. Other sections are discussed in detail below.

You’ll notice from the image above that the top four elements are preselected. Including SERP, “people also ask,” Quora, and Reddit.
TIP: Click the “select all” button at the top left to quickly select all of the options and then click the “insert brief into editor” button at the bottom to receive results.

In the “Customize Content Brief” page (image above), there is a section called SERP, also known as the search engine results page. This function lists websites that are ranking. For each website, there is a title, description, and link. Use the SERP section to increase your backlinks by providing relevant resources.
Tip: At the end of your blog, add an “additional resource” section and list the websites to help your audience. Including more resources increases your blogpost’s overall usefulness and shows knowledge on the subject, making it more authoritative.
Another exciting section to include in your customized content brief is “Topic Clusters.” Topic clusters are topics organized by sets called clusters. Most (if not all) of the words listed are usually keywords. It helps to see them in clusters to find which word variation best suits your content.
Tip: Glance at the topic clusters to get an idea of the most commonly used topics. Use this as inspiration to create content that is both relevant and unique.
Top 20 Topics
To get a better sense of common topics for your search query, select the “top 20 topics” checkbox as you customize your content brief. Frase then gives you a list of 20 topics. These topics are sorted by frequency across top search results. The top 20 topics is an order listed that identifies which topics are ranking the most.
Tip: Use the “top 20 topics” section to gauge your article’s edge or position to suit current demand.
For your content brief, Frase offers a “headers” section. As the name suggests, it lists the headers of the top search results. This section gives you a sense of the types of headers that tend to rank highest. For more information, you can often find the headers within the linked results of the SERP section.
Tip: Use the headers to support your outline. Remember to rephrase headers in your post to avoid copyright infringement.
Frase provides you with statistics on your search by identifying facts and statistics.
Tip: Look at the sources of the statistics generated. Keep an eye out for reliable and authoritative sources, such as established websites or government sites. In your article, be sure to include the ones that most align with your content.
External links are outside sources that correspond with your topic or question from outside sources.
Tip: Integrating external links is a great way to get more relevant backlinks to incorporate into your content.
Use Frase to write your next post
There are various ways to export your content brief to other apps by sharing a read-only or editable link, as well as using the copy and paste function. Both PDF and HTML are supported, which can be a downloadable freebie. For more convenience, you can even publish directly to WordPress.
It is easy to create a content brief with Frase. With just one click, you have the option to customize the information Frase provides. I like to see all of the information on the page and then organize it.
Those are just some of the sections you can include in your content brief. A good content brief is invaluable. Whether you are creating content or outsourcing it, Frase offers a comprehensive outline of relevant information, including:
- External links
Now that we have covered content briefs, let’s take an in-depth look at SEO, its importance, and the role of Frase.io in improving SEO scores.
What is SEO?
Content creators on the internet are mindful of search engine optimization (SEO) as it potentially boosts content to the first page of the search results and maybe even the top of the search results page.
There is a solid reason for wanting to rank high. Most users don’t go past the first page of search results, and a vast majority click on search result links closest to the top. If you want your content to reach your potential audience, it is essential to rank on the first page.
There are several search engines popularly used worldwide. However, the single most widely used search engine is Google. Understanding the Google algorithm is critical to a good SEO score.
Why Does SERP Position Matter?
Search Engine Results Page (SERP) position refers to your website’s ranking on the search results page. Ranking at the top of the page promotes the growth of your blogging business with improved visibility.
Ranking on the first page of Google means that more people will organically reach your site. Reaching more people organically boosts the authority of a site. Not only that, when your new site visitors are converted into subscribers, it further strengthens the outreach of your brand. After all, people are more likely to share and promote content they like to their friends and family.
All that said, it is not so easy to rank high on Google. The best way to rank is to have clear answers to the questions that Google is searching for. Include the right keywords in your content so that Google can track your website and use it as a search result.
What Challenges Are Organic Search Results Currently Facing?
The main challenge currently faced by organic search results is competition.
For any given topic, there are countless websites offering information and clamoring for traffic. Whenever a search is ran on Google for your niche topic, you compete with several other websites.
How Can You Compete for Organic Traffic?
To overcome the competition, there is one potent remedy – have better content. It may sound straightforward, but having high-quality content is the most effective strategy to boost your ranking. Better content boosts your expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness (EAT), making it more likely for Google to rely on your content for results.
